The fishing the last few weeks has been decent for the most part. The odd thing honesty is we are not seeing the usual “big girls” in the rocks as frequently as in years past during August. A few key factors like food sources and migration patterns may be to blame but on any given day things can go from nothing to chaos in one drift which is why we hunt these Striped Bass…you never can seem to figure them out.

Fishing Around Rhode Island, The Elizabeth Islands, Cape Cod and Off Shore

The summer fishing has been tougher then usual but clients are happy and we’re working hard for what we have but that’s the summer fishery at times. Average sized bass with the occasional “cow” in the mix has been the norm the last few weeks but signs of better things are coming. Reports of Bonito are starting to trickle in from RI as well as the Martha’s Vineyard areas so I’m hoping we get an inshore push of these fish soon as I love chasing them. The offshore bite when weather allows has been RED HOT with trolling being the choice method which is not my thing but it works when needed. Remember the Fall season is right around the corner and as always that brings the migration south for the Striped Bass and of course, the arrival of the False Albacore. Now’s the time to book your trip with us for the coming fall season as prime dates are filling in fast.  Feel free to contact us for available dates or if you have any questions about the fishing!
