The fishing the last few weeks has been decent for the most part. The odd thing honesty is we are not seeing the usual “big girls” in the rocks as frequently as in years past during August. A few key factors like food sources and migration patterns may be to blame but on any given day things can go from nothing to chaos in one drift which is why we hunt these Striped Bass…you never can seem to figure them out.

Fishing Around Rhode Island, The Elizabeth Islands, Cape Cod and Off Shore

D71_1012

Fall fishing has started and with a bang of course. Last week we had our first arrival of Albies in both Buzzards Bay and also along the Islands and South Cape Beaches. Solid numbers with good feeds was the story most of last week but it appears much of the action is sliding east toward Monomoy Island and should return to these water during the course of the coming weeks. Vast amounts of Peanut Bunker, Bay Anchovies, and Silversides have been pushed into the rocks providing some great bass fishing as well. September is just about full but from what I can tell this coming October could be one of the better ones we’ve had in some time. if all this bait sticks around and the weather is cooperative it could be an EPIC few weeks ahead.  Contact us now to firm up some time to get out and get your shot at a “New England Slam” during the coming weeks
