Welcome

Welcome to the new website for Plug N Play Charter Group. We're off and running this season with some new tactics for all styles of fishing.Whether you like tossing huge plugs into the rocks for monster Striped Bass or drifting some sea-worms along the bottom for Fluke and Sea Bass we can make it happen. We're also going to be offering some harbor tours and beach picnic excursions this season so Welcome Aboard. All feedback is encouraged.

Fishing Around Rhode Island, The Elizabeth Islands, Cape Cod and Off Shore

Erin with a nice late April BlackfishAfter the last few days of winds I decided to try and take advantage of the window this morning of lighter winds and see what was biting on the local rock piles and wrecks. Left the dock at about 6:30am to way more breeze then forecasted. After about a 10 minute run to the first location  we tossed the hook and started fishing. About 5 other boats in the area seemed to be doing very little and we knew why. After about an hour we decided to move due to the really slow bite on Clevelands Ledge. I decided to move back and closer to shore which payed off BIG. We started in about 15 feet of water outside Marion Harbor on a little rock pile that can be great for Sea Bass come May so why not try late April for Blackfish right? We were on the spot for 5 minutes and already doubled up with 2 healthy 22″ Blackfish on the first drop. This went on for about an hour or so with many sub-legal fish but all the fish we did get that were legal were BIG all well over 20″. Overall a wonderful way to start the Blackfish season and hats of to Mike at M&D’s in Wareham for getting a score on green crabs. Thanks Mike :)
