Plug N Play Charters

Welcome to Plug N Play Charters website. We're off and running this season with some new tactics for all styles of fishing. Whether you like tossing huge plugs into the rocks for monster Striped Bass or drifting some sea-worms along the bottom for Fluke and Sea Bass we can make it happen. We're also going to be offering some harbor tours and beach picnic excursions this season so Welcome Aboard. All feedback is encouraged.

PNP Updates

Seminars, speaking in front of crowds……I’m not a huge fan to be honest I can’t stand it. Much like Belichick does I avoid the media and lime light and would prefer to just do my thing and be happy in doing so. But I’m not getting any younger and its time to start sharing what I’ve learned with others. So this past weekend I did one and it was received with open arms!

Add Another Species To The List!

5/22/12 by Corey Pietraszek

Jim with a 7lb Weakfish from today's fishingWell today was not what I hoped for really. the rain never really let up and I think as I type this I’m still wet to the bone. The conditions as far as ticde and wind direction were exactly what I wanted as well as FOG and OVERCAST which for the last few days made for some amazing fishing for Striped Bass but today it just never really came together today. I mean Ralph had two HUGE fish take a 4/0 VMC right off the lures not once but twice. We did manage a few nice bass but not the big ones I hoped for from the last few days So we resorted to bottom fishing which has been spectacular. Rick invited his brother Ralph and good fishing buddy Jim along for today’s fishing. They all love Sea Bass so we had this as a back up plan if the bass fishing was not so good which it just wasn’t today. We shifted gears and got away from searching for bass and went ahead and set the boat up in about 30ft of water marking some huge piles of fish just about every few minutes. Problem was these marks were scup which at times is fun but when they are stealing the bait it just makes added work while targeting the Sea Bass. We did however find about a mile drift where just about every Sea Bass landed was 15″-20″ with a few tipping the scale at 6lbs. During all this action Jim yells “I’m tight to a Salmon” and I say “That’s great is it an Atlantic Salmon?” laughing as I look over the side and to my amazement as I get a closer look its a beautiful Weakfish and a BIG one at that. Jim does a wonderful job getting it boatside quick and we weighed it and kept it for the grill as they are just perfect on the grill. This to me is a special catch as we don’t see these fish as often in Buzzards Bay or MA waters for that matter. I think the last one I saw caught was about 25 years ago in Mattapoisett Harbor but they do get taken from time to time and we got one today which really made the trip a success for me.
