Once again the spring rains and weather stuck around for the last few weeks of June making a tough stretch and rough days on the water for this guide but all worked hard and made it happen and trusted my judgement and went in some pretty rough conditions.
Our usual final push of bigger fish came and went but the people who were able to get out and enjoy this fishing would agree it was second to none and possibly the best I’ve seen in many seasons. A few lucky anglers released multiple fish close to 50lbs and a slew of fish in the 30-45lb class during this time frame.
Overall, without the wild winds and rain things might have been better but it was still a very solid spring run. Now we shift gears and get into the summer pattern of early mornings in the rocks in search of “Walter” and the waiting game for the first signs of Bonito and False Albacore which come late July into August. Looking forward to seeing everyone who may be fishing during the weeks ahead and also meeting all the new faces who are coming out with us for the first time. Available dates are below for the coming weeks and will start to fill in fast!
