Spring has sprung and we are kicking off another fishing season. The one real good thing this season is I'm way ahead of the curve and had the boat ready in April which allowed for some even eralier then usual scouting trips in Buzzards Bay. Traditionally I really never see any bigger schools of fish move thru in catchable numbers until roughly May 8th or so. This year we have already boated numerous bluefish before May 1st which is a frist for me and many keeper sized bass to boot! For the most part this is exciting but the shear number of bluefish is really amazing I hopr they dont keep the bass away. Alsmost all the coves and harbors have them in some form and they are ranging from 8-12lbs as well. The bass are here too and you need to work a bit harder to find them or at least to find them without the bluefish but they are here and it will get better each day as the fish move north. |
